Divinity Candy

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • ½ cup boiling water
  • ½ cup light karo
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1½ cups pecan pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix sugar, salt, boiling water and karo. Stir constantly while boiling.
  2. When syrup makes soft ball, pour in well beaten egg whites. Stir until firm.
  3. Add to mixture vanilla and pecans.
  4. Drop by teaspoon on a buttered dish.
