Pecan Delights

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2½ cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs to cream mixture and beat well.
  2. Sift together dry ingredients and add to this mixture. Add pecans and mix well.
  3. Drop by teaspoon fulls on cookie sheet.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. (Makes 7 dozen)
