INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2½ cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup chopped pecans
DIRECTIONS
- Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs to cream mixture and beat well.
- Sift together dry ingredients and add to this mixture. Add pecans and mix well.
- Drop by teaspoon fulls on cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. (Makes 7 dozen)
