Pecan Custard Pie

INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup pecans (may use 1½ cups)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Melt butter. Add sugar, vanilla, flour, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time.
  3. Blend in syrup, milk, and pecans.
  4. Mix well and pour into a 9″ unbaked pie shell.
  5. Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees.
  6. Reduce the temperature to 325 degrees and bake 50 minutes or until firm.
