Pecan Custard Pie

Ingredients

¼ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 cup dark corn syrup
1 small can evaporated milk
1 cup pecans (may use 1½ cups)



Directions

  1. Melt butter. Add sugar, vanilla, flour, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time.
  3. Blend in syrup, milk, and pecans.
  4. Mix well and pour into a 9" unbaked pie shell.
  5. Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees.
  6. Reduce the temperature to 325 degrees and bake 50 minutes or until firm.
